Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking an Community and Cultural Services Manager to join the team, benefits include:
- $110,000+ per annum (dependent on qualifications/experience)+ Superannuation
- 5 weeks Annual Leave (with 17.5% Leave Loading)
- Monthly RDO (13 pa)

Are you a passionate leader ready to drive community engagement, manage cultural events, and oversee community venues? Cloncurry Shire Council is looking for a Community & Cultural Services Manager to join our team.
About the Role
You will lead a dedicated team to deliver programs and events that enhance Cloncurry’s cultural, social, and community fabric. It involves managing Council’s signature events and overseeing community venues and offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Community Events: Take the lead in planning and delivering vibrant events and initiatives that celebrate Cloncurry’s unique culture and foster community spirit.
- Venues Management: Oversee the operations of Council’s key community assets, including the Bob McDonald Library, the Dr. David Harvey-Sutton Gallery, and the Cloncurry Community Precinct, ensuring they remain hubs of creativity and connection.
- Cultural Development: Drive programs and activities that highlight arts, heritage, and cultural diversity, that showcase Cloncurry’s unique identity.
- Team Leadership: Foster a positive and professional environment, mentoring your team and delivering exceptional service to the community.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong partnerships with schools, businesses, and community groups, ensuring programs align with Council’s strategic goals and meet local needs.
- Community Advocacy: Act as the voice of the community, advocating for their interests and ensuring Council’s initiatives support an inclusive and vibrant future.
Mandatory Qualifications, Education, and Licences
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., social sciences, community development, cultural studies), or equivalent industry experience.
- Current Positive Notice Blue Card.
- Hold and maintain an unrestricted C class driver’s licence.
- Current Police Clearance
